Foodie Freebie Friday: Foodie Fight Boardgame

Print
Welcome back from the weekend! Hope you enjoyed the weekend and are ready for a new week. I'm most definitely ready and hope this week goes by faster than last. We're coming down to the last couple days before our move... which is in 2 days! I'm looking forward to unpacking and setting up my kitchen once again, as well as getting some good use out my stove and oven.

As I look around our home now, it's extremely empty and rather lonely. I can't help but think about all the wonderful memories we've created here and all the people who we welcomed over for meals. It's only natural that a part of me is sad to say goodbye to the place that's been a popular gathering spot every weekend for the past 2 years.

One of the things we enjoyed whenever friends came over was playing food & drink inspired boardgames. I have a decent sized collection of food & drink inspired boardgames, with my favorite being Foodie Fight. When you get my friends and I together playing this game, we can get pretty serious with a lot of fun trash talk! In tribute to all the fun times we've had playing Foodie Fight, a lucky reader will be receiving the boardgame for this week's Foodie Freebie Friday!

My favorite game was Monopoly. I had a friend when I was younger and we played Monopoly all summer long. We actually had two games worth of stuff b/c there was so much money, houses and hotels needed.

Life! I always tried to stack my little car with girls since pink was/is my favorite color. =)

Though now, I can't believe that I liked a game in which life was so prescribed! How boring.

Oh, gosh. I played Candyland so often that everyone in my family was completely SICK of the game! I think they were relieved when I got old enough to finally move on to Monopoly :)

I loved Mall Madness. I could have played that game for hours--I'm sure I did! I also loved Monopoly. Clearly I had a thing for making money and spending it!

I made a hybrid game of Monopoly and Clue and called it "Monopoly Extreme." I always won (but that's just because I made up the rules as I went along).

What a fun giveaway! Growing up it was Monopoly and now it's Scrabble - my dad and I like to clog the board with 2 letter words so no else will play with us!

I love Monopoly when I was little. We still play quite a bit of Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble. Scattagories might be our fav game right now though.

My friends Kathy, Jackie & I LOVED to play The Bride Game and Mystery Date. We each had our favorite couple's/dates we tried to collect. We also played Masterpiece a lot. If there had been a foodie game back then I'm sure we would have had that in our rotation.

I really liked Connect Four when I was young. Simple, it didn't take too long to play and I could usually win. (Okay, my sisters were younger, so I had a bit of an advantage!)

My favorite was Candy Land. I always wanted to be the green guy! My husband is board game junkie. We love to play Bananagrams (like Scrabble).

My family and friends and I love boardgames too, and this would be a great addition to our collection!

As a child I'd have to say one of my favorite games was boggle. I know that's really not a boardgame, but I have fond memories of playing with my grandma on lazy Saturday afternoons and I think that's why I like it so much!

My favorite games I played with my younger brother were Sorry, Trouble and Hungry Hungry Hippo. The Hippo was the best because it made the most noise!
